My stainless steel decanter is jammed!Updated 2 months ago
Oh, the woes of a jammed can! Thanks for working with our little can to keep containers out of landfills! It may be too late if it is already locked metal onto metal, but one of these simple tips can often unlock and restore the can. Please give them a try.
The can has a gentle "L-shaped" lock and should only require the slightest twist. Place your fingers on the dots on the side of the lid and gently lift from there. I have attached some simple instructions to help you see how to work with it.
* Be gentle
* Wiggle it a bit
* If you feel any movement, rock it back and forth ever-so-slightly until you get a release
* If you’ve been handling it for a few minutes the metal on metal can warm up. Try chilling it in the freezer or rinsing the can with cold water.
If you have used up your contents and are ready to refill, you can always rinse the lid area with cold water (never soap!) to loosen any powder that may be trapped in the lock. Be sure to dry the can thoroughly with a clean paper towel before refilling it with more lifestinks.
Let me know if this helps to heal your can. If not, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We stand by our can.
